This hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Cryopreservation and Packaging Manager.   Specific duties and responsibilities of a Processing/Packaging Technician include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
  • Use labeling system to print bull identification and collection data onto products.
  • Process and package products and prepare for storage
  • Update inventory using proprietary software.
  • Move product to appropriate storage location.
  • Maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.
  • Move large inventory tanks.
  • Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to the packaging supervisor.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed protocols and safety regulations.
    A Processing/Packaging Technician's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Select Sires, Inc. is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Dairy Development Data Coordinator. This salaried, exempt position is based at our Plain City, OH facility and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Genetic Programs and Research.
 
Specific duties and responsibilities of a Dairy Development Data Coordinator include, but are not limited to,
• Serve as an ambassador of Select Sires’ Mission and Core Values, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to animal well-being in every task. 
• Organize and coordinate the activities involved with obtaining the genetic information needed by Select Sires as part of dairy bull acquisition, semen marketing and Select’s internal breeding program.
• Serve as the liaison between the Dairy Sire Development team, our internal IT department, genotyping laboratories, genetic evaluation centers, breed associations and trade associations.
• Understanding and overseeing genetic and genomic evaluation data pipelines in the USA and other key countries is a key part of this effort. 
• Ensuring that genetic information in Select Sires data systems is timely and accurate is a key responsibility. 
• Serve as key backup for these essential operations and, as the content expert, is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving genomic testing or data flow issues.
 
A Dairy Development Data Coordinator's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs.

  To support animal care and production needs, holiday and weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.
